Hi, I’m Lorna van Hilst. I’m a newborn and family photographer based in the Sutherland Shire.
I specialise in newborn & family portraits! From babies through to toddlers, there are so many special moments I want to capture for your family.
Every tiny detail and every little moment is so special because it’s so fleeting. And that’s why I’m passionate about the art of photography. Helping you to document your new baby’s life – through photos – is an honour beyond words.

What’s more, I’m committed to providing you with the best quality product possible. And that means prints. I believe photographs are only truly appreciated when they’re printed. The focus of my photography is, and always will be, quality prints you’ll cherish for a lifetime. I want you to be able to proudly display and enjoy your photos – to look at them every day.
And when you do look at your images, I want you to smile because they evoke such fond memories for you.
To me, it’s not just about taking perfect pictures. It’s about capturing the genuine and natural love and affection you feel for each other – and having that translate into your photographs to make them more meaningful and memorable.

Your newborn baby and your children are precious. And you want to know that you can trust the people around them.
I’ve photographed babies and kids for over nine years. Which means that I’m skilled in handling and posing new babies, and can coax a smile from the shyest or most unhappy kid!
Plus, I’ve got a Working With Children Check clearance. So you can rest assured that you can trust me around your treasured kids. But that’s not all.
I hold a Diploma in Photo Imaging from the CATC Design College. Because I’ve studied photography you can trust that I understand (and love!) the art and know how to capture the best images for you.
