General Q & A
Make sure you wear clothes that will stand the test of time, so avoid wearing anything that has a fad today.
Keep it simple, I recommend neutral or pastel colours. Avoid any clothing that has logos or outrageous images or prints on them.
Whatever you wear, make sure you’re comfortable and that the colours compliment the colours in your home where you’ll hang your photographs.
We can go to any place you like in the Sutherland Shire.
I’m happy to recommend some of my favourite places. My favourite spot for family photos is Cape Solander Lookout at Kurnell. I also like Wanda Beach (next to Cronulla Beach). Stanwell Park Beach is another lovely spot.
Or if you prefer, the session can also be done in the comfort of your home.
Shooting time is up to 1.5 hours for baby (sitter sessions), family and pet portraits.
Your viewing, design and product consultation typically goes for about an hour following your photoshoot.
Yes, I love cake smashes for a baby’s 1st birthday!
I prefer to do these sessions in an outdoor location as we’ll have lots of beautiful, natural light and a lovely leafy backdrop.
Before we do the cake smash I always recommend some nice portraits and family photos first, then the baby can dig into their cake!
I’ve got some beautiful outfits that I’d be happy to supply, otherwise you can bring your own. However, due to health regulations, you’ll need to provide your own cake.
On my blog, I’ve got a lovely example of how I do my Cake Smash Sessions.
Because I know you’re dying to see your images, I don’t make you wait. You get to see your unedited photos immediately.
If you’re having a newborn session done at your home, I can easily connect my laptop to your TV straight after the session so you can sit back and enjoy looking through and choose your favourite photographs.
If you’re having your newborn shoot done at my home studio, I can come by to your home the next day, or later that same week where we can go through the images together.
If you’re having photographs done out on location, we can all go back to your home straight afterwards where we can go through the photographs together.
What’s more, I show you my studio examples so you see the quality of the prints you’ll get. This helps you to pick the right package for your needs.
Make sure leave enough time after your photo session for us to go through the photos. This consultation typically goes for about an hour and I do this in the comfort of your home.
To book your photography session, I require the Session Fee to be paid.

Prints, Photo Blocks and Albums are purchased separately and there is a minimum spend of $500 on your order.
Most of my clients invest approximately $1200 – $2000 on their photographs but, how much you spend is entirely up to you – there are no pressure sales.
Be sure to check out my packages and products for descriptions and photos.
For detailed information on my prices, get in touch and I can send you a full price guide.
Yes. Gift vouchers can be used for any portrait photo shoot the recipient chooses: newborn and family portraits, baby or pets – it’s entirely up to them.
Gift vouchers automatically include the Gift Box Package.
The happy recipient can opt to take this Gift Box Package – no extras or hidden costs! Or, they can put the voucher towards a larger package and pay the difference themselves.
Whats the gift voucher worth? A portrait photography gift voucher is $500.
No. I believe that photographs should be experienced through prints.
That’s why my portrait photography has a range of high quality prints you’ll cherish for a lifetime.
Just imagine how your family and friends will admire your photos when they visit.
Moreover, prints are perfect for sharing your beautiful memories with your loved ones. High quality prints are an excellent way of creating precious family heirlooms that can be passed down from generation to generation.
Now, of course, I provide high-resolution JPEG files for all the images you purchase. But the focus of my photography is quality prints you cherish for a lifetime.
So many people leave their special photos sitting on their computers, rarely looked at and never enjoyed. It’s such a waste. Don’t make that mistake, too. When you invest in prints, you’ll get to enjoy your photographs every day for the rest of your life.

Newborn Q & A
The best time to photograph a newborn baby is when they are under two weeks of age, after this time babies are a little harder to settle.
Also at this age, we’re still able to put them into those little squishy poses that we love.
Newborn sessions are best booked in while you are still pregnant.
Please call me at any time during your pregnancy. I will then make a tentative booking based on your due date. If your baby arrives a little early or a little late, we can simply adjust the date accordingly.
When you arrive home from hospital, you can contact me to confirm your session date.
If you’ve already had your baby, don’t worry – I’ll do my best to squeeze you in as I know how precious those first few weeks are.
Only if you want to, although I do try to encourage all parents to be in their photos.
Sometimes we forget to include ourselves in our family photos and, when your babies grow up, they’ll want to see you with them.
By being in the photos, they’ll become a wonderful keepsake for your children to own and pass down to their children – family photos become our heirlooms.
However, this decision is completely up to you. Even if you decide to have your photos taken, and you really don’t like them (highly unlikely!), then you don’t have to include those photos in your package.
Your newborn photo session is carried out from my home studio in Engadine or can be done from the comfort of you home.
I can travel to any home in the Sutherland Shire and St George area.
Allow 2-4 hours. This gives us plenty of time for those unexpected delays that crop up with babies – feeding, cuddling, and set up changes.
If I come to your home for the newborn session, make sure leave enough time after the photo shoot for us to go through the photos. This consultation typically goes for an hour.
I’ve got lots of beautiful handmade props available for your newborn session.
Check out my Instagram page where I upload all my latest photographs. Let me know what set ups/arrangements are your favourites and I can set it up for your newborn shoot.
I sure do! With every newborn shoot booking, you’ll receive a free maternity photo shoot if you would like to have one.
Maternity photo shoots are best done when you’re around 30-35 weeks pregnant and I prefer to do these sessions at an outdoor location – sunset is simply beautiful and it’s my favourite time of day!
My style for these shoots is very simple and natural but, also very elegant and timeless. I have a great example of how I like to photograph my maternity sessions up on my blog.
I don’t provide any clothing for maternity shoots. You are welcome to wear anything you like. I recommend something very simple and comfortable.
Once your baby is photographed, you can review all your photographs (maternity and newborn) to choose the images for your package.
Please note that maternity sessions are only provided when your newborn photography is booked with me. I do not do standalone maternity shoots.
Yes. In December 2016 I updated my whooping cough (pertussis) vaccination. I also had blood tests done which revealed that I have an immunity towards measles, mumps, rubella and varicella zoster virus. This has been done to ensure that your brand new baby is protected and safe with me.
I also have a ‘Working with Children’s Check’ obtained by the NSW Government – Office of the Children’s Guardian.
